Angel Tree Topper

You would think that it would be simple to go out to the store and pick up an angel tree topper.  At least this is what I thought! Man, was I wrong.  I tried:

Target

Kohl's

Meijers

Wal Mart

Jo Ann Fabrics

Michael's

Hall Mark

etc.

Not one of these sores had even one angel tree topper that lit up.  I did not want to go online because my tree is already up and I did not want to wait for the shipping.  I decided to drive about 40 minutes away from home and go to a store that is nothing but Christmas decorations. 

The store is in Lake Orion, MI and it is called Canterbury Village.  This store has three levels and is filled with many Christmas decorations and ornaments.  They probably have any ornament you could think about wanting.  Knowing this, I decided to drive out there and see if they had what I wanted.  I was looking for my tree topper and a tree skirt.

I walked in and asked the personnel where the angel tree toppers were and they told me they had a few on the shelf.  I found the shelf they were talking about and they had two.  A silver one and a gold colored one.  I was incredibly thrilled to find my angel tree topper.  I grabbed my topper and happily drove home.

Canterbury Village is not just a Christmas shop but has many other shops also including a restaurant.  Its like and old time village.  There is a nice size toy house and an indoor carousel.  Definitely a spot to take the family too for a half a day on the weekends.  If you do not go close I supplied the link to their online website where you can also do some shopping.
